This document, known as the Carbon Footprint Product Category Rules (CFP-PCR) for mattress products, sets forth the methods and requirements for evaluating the carbon footprint of mattress products. It includes requirements related to product description, scope determination, data collection, allocation, impact assessment, interpretation of product carbon footprint, and communication of product carbon footprint.
This document is applicable to various types of woven mattresses, knitted mattresses and crocheted mattresses for the evaluation of their carbon footprints. However, it is not applicable to the carbon footprint evaluation of products such as fur, wool, leather mattresses, specialty mattresses, and personal protective equipment.
