This document provides guidance on quantifying greenhouse gas emissions reductions associated with citizens' adoption of alternative modes of transportation instead of using motor vehicles when parked. It includes principles, assessment scope and procedures, assessment content, and guidance on data quality management. This document is applicable to both citizens and travel platforms conducting greenhouse gas emissions quantification assessments for the behavior of parking motor vehicles and using alternative transportation modes. Note: In this document, "motor vehicles" specifically refer to non-commercial fuel-powered, pure electric, and hybrid passenger cars owned by citizens with a valid driver's license, i.e., private vehicles.
